Malibwe School in Tanzania

The club supported this school in the Usambara Mountains near Lushoto for several years

Over several years Hamble Valley Rotary helped build and fit out a new classroom for this school.

A representative of the Club visited the school with her family and presented a full set of African syllabus O'Level school books donated by the club to the headmaster, Mr Mwanga.

The following year, the club paid for a solar power cell for the roof of the school to enable the pupils to read books and do their homework after dark as there was no local electric power supply. They had hoped that they could connect it to a photocopier so they could print their own exam papers but the cell was not powerful enough.
