Publicity for the Club and Rotary with the Gazebo and Fire Engine

Another enjoyable and successful day in the warm sunshine at the Melplash Show.  Our thanks and congratulations to the Melplash Agricultural Society for organising such a well run event once again.

All the members on our stand were delighted to talk to those who stopped to say hello including our friends from the Brit Valley Rotary Club who were just a couple of pitches away from us..

Visitors enjoyed looking at the fire truck, kindly provided by one of our members, Martin Cox. Many took part in the 'name the fire engine' competition with a chance to win a Book Token. The winner was Freddie Hollins who chose the name 'Smokey'. Well done Freddie.

Our Spinning Wheel proved to be an added attraction. Donations received will go to deserving and needed causes. Many thanks to all who contributed. We will hopefully meet some of you you again at the Melplash show next year or, perhaps, at some other of our events in and around Bridport.
