Farewell to a stalwart Rotarian
Very sad to note the passing of a stalwart member of Knaresborough Rotary. Dennis Houseman PHF (1939-2023) joined Rotary on 5thJanuary 1987 and will be best remembered for his work building the Wishing Well on Waterside, the picnic benches on the Beryl Burton Way and at the Conyngham Car Park. He also was the mastermind installing the Sensory Garden and the large swing at Forest school. A photograph shows him enjoying time on the tombola stall the Christmas Market.

We were pleased to be able to sponsor the 'Memory Lane' outing to Scarborough today. Mixed weather but we are told they avoided the worst downpours and had an enjoyable time.

Matti Ward was the speaker at Knaresborough Rotary on Monday evening. Matti, who works for the National Grid, is a trained First Responder and set up his own charity, ‘Restart Yorkshire’, installing and maintaining Defibrillators in the area.
