On 9th August, the Club provided a day of adventure for a group of young carers from the charity Caring Togetner. 19 youngsters, who all give up chunks of their childhood to care for parents, grandparents or siblings, gathered at the Grafham Water Centre to enjoy an activity day that gave them a little respite. The age range was 5 to 16 and they all had a great time!
After a welcome and a safety brief from the staff, the day started in fun boats (that's their name!) on the water - in glorious sunshine!
Then, after a packed lunch, the group moved on to the indoor climbing wall. The girl on the left of this photograph is 6 years old - braver than me!
And the day was rounded off with an archery session. This girl is all of 5 years old - the bow was bigger than her!
it was a great day, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our thanks go to the Grafham Water Centre staff, who made it all so enjoyable for these wonderful children.
