Potato Judgement Day! - August 2023

The Club held a competition to see who could grow the heaviest crop of potatoes!

The judging - intense and very serious!

The Club's annual horticulture competition (a lot of fun and not at all serious!) was all about potatoes.  For an entry fee that was donated to charity, we were each given a bucket and a potato.  What we did with them was then up to us....  The winner was the member who grew the most potatoes in the bucket, judged by weight.  Ian Pemberton (whose middle name might be "Murphy") was the worthy winner, with a crop of 1798g.  Ian really is a Golden Wonder...!
