On Saturday 23 September five of our members accepted the invitation from the Brit Valley Rotary Club to join a similar number of its members for a collection on the streets of Bridport in aid of the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.
On a busy market day in pleasant sun-shine (on the north side of the streets, that was!) a total of just over £506 was collected. The thanks of both clubs goes to those who gave so generously to help the people affected by the 6.8-magnitude quake. This occurred on 8 September killing thousands of people, injuring even more, causing widespread destruction and much hardship. We are working with our partners, ShelterBox, where donations collected will be sent.
