Remembrance Parade

Sunday November 12 2023

This years Remembrance Parade was supported by a good number of our members alongside our friends from the Rotary Club of Brit Valley and the Inner Wheel of Bridport. We paid respects on behalf of our Clubs and remembered those who sacrificed their lives in times of conflict.

The event was organised by Bridport Town Council Parade Commander, Brigadier John Dean, Bridport Team Ministry and forces and local organisations and volunteers. Accompanied by the Wessex Military Band, the parade led by the Mayor, Cllr Dave Bolwell, proceeded from East Street to the War Memorial by St Mary's Church in South Street.

After the traditional two-minute silence was observed, representatives of the attending organisations laid wreaths. This included our President Elect Mike Green, President John Clegg from Brit Valley and President Mavis Gurd from the Bridport Inner Wheel.
