Lt. Col. John Pearson OBE

Torrington Rotary Founder Member

Lt. Col. John Pearson OBE, who sadly passed away in May 2009,  was a founder member of Torrington Rotary.

In 1984 he left our club when the family moved to Haslemere, but joined his new local club for a few years.  In 1992 John moved to France, living in the Loire Valley.   He and his wife both continued their community service, teaching English at the local college in Vendome and occasionally attending the local Rotary club when his son Ian visited.
