The following article was sent by our friends in the Forge Church. We undertook a late November 2023 Tesco’s collection in Stowmarket on behalf of Christmas Hamper deliveries to deserving people identified by the Forge. We raised £674 during the collection.
ROARING HAMPER SUCCESS
148 Hampers were delivered on the 23rd December to some very grateful families. Those who delivered were met with shock, tears, hugs and immense overwhelming gratitude. One family said “I had no idea we’d get all of this! I literally have 33p in my bank account and no idea what I was going to do for food for Christmas day.”
Huge thanks to everyone who helped make that happen, from donating, packing and delivering and to those who referred recipient to us. Special thanks to some of our sponsors….The Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley, Thomas and Young Wealth Management, Morgan Sindall Construction, Andrew Bingham Funeral Services and Morrisons.
