Corporate Membership - Is it for you?

Corporate membership gives local businesses, nonprofits, government entities and corporations the chance to give back to the community while developing their employees’ personal and professional skills through Rotary.

The Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill is offering participation in a new opportunity for club membership - Corporate Membership.

At many businesses, the CEO and other employees will want to add Rotary membership to their CVs because they recognise Rotary's reputation for combining business networking with community service. A corporate membership would allow your busy employees the chance to learn about the needs of their community so they can serve it well while experiencing the personal satisfaction of knowing they're helping others.

Younger professionals will enjoy the flexibility of our corporate membership, which is more affordable and requires a smaller time commitment. Membership in Rotary provides employees invaluable opportunities for taking on leadership roles, develop their public speaking and presentation skills while providing networking opportunities and mentoring. By offering the perk of Rotary membership you show young employees that your business cares about their personal and professional growth.

Here are some of the benefits…………………..

Corporate Image - Elevates the corporation’s image in the community as a partner in service and a business committed to corporate social responsibility.

Your support shown on our website - Although the corporate itself cannot join Rotary (it has to be individuals), the corporate will be listed on the club website and at various events, as a corporate member supporting Rotary.

Use of Rotary logo - The corporate will be entitled to use the Rotary logo on their company letter heading.

Tax deductible - We understand that fees for Rotary membership should be eligible for business tax relief or personal tax relief if self-employed. Please confirm with your accountant.

Community awareness. Executives can meet and socialise with other businesses in the club, expanding their understanding of the community's needs and wants, and get an insight into how businesses are addressing common concerns.

Global connections. Members of Rotary have instant access to our global network of 1.2 million members in the 35,000 clubs around the world. Wherever you're travelling there’s likely to be a Rotary Club with local business and community leaders who will welcome you.

Networking opportunities. Through Rotary, business leaders can make important contacts locally, nationally and globally that can result in profitable business ventures in the future. However please note that you cannot advertise your business on Rotary.

Commitment to service. Employees of the business recognise and appreciate the company's commitment to serving others. Even if employees don't join the Rotary Club, service becomes part of the corporate culture.

One stop source. Rotary is a productive use of an employee’s time. Instead of joining a variety of organisations to fulfil their community awareness, each with their own unique focus, time commitment and cost, Rotary is a comprehensive source where members can learn about many of the social issues and concerns in the community.

Personal satisfaction. Members experience the gratification of knowing that they're helping people who may not have the means to help themselves. Meanwhile individuals can enhance their own skillsets in areas such as networking, presentation and public speaking.

How corporate membership works

Two or more employees can join together as members of Rotary. They will either be primary members or alternates, who have the option of attending meetings either for themselves or on behalf of the primary member.

Option A - 1 Primary member and 1 Alternate - £150 per year (Tax deductible?)

Option B – 2 Primary members and 2 Alternates - £250 per year (Tax deductible?)

Additional Primary members £100 per year and Additional Alternates £50 per year

·         Only primary members are allowed to hold office and only they can vote unless nominating an alternative for the purpose of that meeting.

·         Meals have to be paid for on attendance.

·         At certain meetings and events additional guests may be possible at the cost of their meal.

Additional benefits:

The corporate will get a framed certificate of Rotary membership for office display and also a Rotary logo sticker for the office window or car to show others your support for the community.
