WE WILL BE HAVING A ‘BARROW OF BOOZE” RAFFLE AT THIS YEAR'S WOOLPIT STEAM RALLY.

We are pleased to have secured a pitch at this year's Woolpit Steam Rally.

We will be raffling a "Barrow of Booze" over the two days as well as promoting the activities of this local Rotary Club. There will be three prizes, 1st: Barrow of Booze, 2nd: Fizz in a Basket and 3rd: A Bucket of Beer.

Raffle tickets will be £1 individually and £5 for a book of 5 tickets.

Participants buying a book for £5.00 will be entitled to a free copy of the "Stowmarket Then and Now' book ( Issue 2 - the green one).

Copies of the book will also be available for purchase at £1.00 a copy.

NOTE. The book will be available while stocks last.

The draw will be made late in the afternoon of Sunday 2nd June.

Proceeds will be used to support local good causes.

Stowmarket Town Youth under 11 team

Member Rod Curtis organised on behalf of the club some warm clothing and a bench for the Stowmarket Town Youth under 11 team who come under the auspices of the Stowmarket Town Football Club.

The Project provides a Moses basket full of all the items both mother and baby need for the first few weeks of the baby's life.

A litter pick was organised by the Stowmarket Town Council in which Rotary gave a helping hand. The photo shows the Rotary volunteers waiting for the ‘off’.

At the Mendlesham Street Fayre barrow of booze a hamper was raffled and the winning ticket was drawn by the May Day Queen. This raised £460. Thanks are due to resident Val Remington-Hobbs for loan of the gazebo and other support.
