Supporting All Young People

A very good question is 'At what age does youth begin and end?' Whatever the answer, it matters not to members of the Youth Services Committee who happily consider all requests for help from any individual or group under the age of eighteen.

Vice President Clive Livingstone supported by (on his left) Tony Humphries from Seaford Martello and Paul Vaesen (2nd left) presenting the donation to the Early Birds Manager Emily Teese (far right) watched by the pupils and other care staff

So, when a request came in from the Baptist Church Early Birds Pre-School there was no problem in giving it full consideration.

The Early Birds Pre-School, which has been established in Seaford for at least, twenty years, recently appointed a new Manager.  The appointment came, at an opportune time as the advice for this age group from the County Early Years Advisor is to move away from away from a paper — based child care system and a single PC and make better use of technology and Cloud based specialist integrated child care and nursery management software.  The aim of the project for the pre-school is to improve the quality of their work with the children, to provide evidence of their development and progress for parents, carers, or guardians, as well as being required for Ofsted Registration.

The Youth Services Committee was pleased to be able to support this request to purchase a refurbished laptop and an HONOR X 8 Tablet, sharing the cost with the Martello Club, and Vice President Clive Livingstone went along to the school, accompanied by Youth Services Chairman Paul Vaesen, and Committee member, Jim Anderson to present the cheque.
