District Governor Brian Stewart extends an invitation to all D1010 Rotarians and their partners, prospective Rotarians, Rotaractors, and E Club members to attend our annual conference in Dundee.

Dundee is emerging as one of Scotland’s most dynamic cities, featuring extensive waterfront developments including the V&A Museum and the forthcoming Eden Project. Known as the City of Discovery, Dundee offers a modern setting against the picturesque backdrop of the River Tay on Scotland's east coast. If you have not visited recently, this conference presents an ideal opportunity.

Saturday, 24th May: The conference will begin with tea, coffee, and pastries at 9:00 AM and will conclude at 4:30 PM.

Additionally, there will be a performance by one of our talented District Young Musicians.

The evening event will be held at the Invercarse Hotel at 7:00 PM for a 7:30 PM start, featuring a two-course dinner with entertainment provided by Dusty the Magician and the Dancing Feet Band.

Costs

The Conference team has diligently worked to keep costs minimal to encourageparticipation.
  • Saturday Day Delegate (to cover food expenses): £27.50 per person
  • Saturday Evening at the Invercarse Hotel (Two-course dinner with entertainment): £32.50 per person

We call upon all clubs to share their stories and projects that are making adifference locally or internationally. This is an excellent opportunity toexchange ideas and garner support for your initiatives. Stands are free,provided you have two registered delegates.   1. V&A Museum, Dundee - Visit Here
    • Operating hours: Daily from 10:00 to 17:00. Most exhibitions offer free admission. The venue includes a restaurant. Self-guided tours are accessible via the Smartify app.
    • Complimentary Guided Tour of the V&A – Available from 11:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 14:30 (highly recommended).
    • Bookings for the complimentary guided tour must be made in advance at this link.
    • Guided Tour Information: "Join us for a live tour of our remarkable building and explore the most popular objects in the Scottish Design Galleries. Please meet at the welcome desk downstairs 10 minutes before the tour begins. Part of this tour is conducted outdoors, so appropriate clothing and footwear are advised."
  2. Discovery Point and Royal Research Ship Discovery - An Antarctic Adventure Learn More

    Enjoy interactive exhibitions at the Discovery Point visitor center. Afterwards, board and explore the pioneering RRS Discovery to uncover her illustrious history from her construction in Dundee's shipyards and her legendary 1901 Antarctic expedition under Captain Scott, to her many subsequent adventures. Embrace the journey of Discovery.

    Operating hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.

    Admission (valid for one year) Adult: £17.00, Concession: £13.00. (Joint entry ticket available for Discovery Point and Verdant Works Museum.)

  3. Verdant Works Museum - More Information

    Explore Dundee’s industrial heritage with engaging exhibits in the refurbished Mill building. Observe machines in operation and listen to stories about the city’s mill workers, highlighting an industry integral to Dundee’s history.

    Operating hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.

    Admission (valid for one year) Adult: £14.00, Concession: £10.50. Café available on site. (Joint entry ticket available for Verdant Works Museum and Discovery Point.)

  4. The McManus – Dundee’s Art Gallery and Museum Discover More

    Featuring eight art galleries across two floors.

    Free entry. Operating hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, Sunday from 12:30 to 16:30. Café available on site.
