District Conference

Saturday 25th October 2025, Dunfermline

We’ve listened to you, and are taking the District Conference back to it’s ‘traditional’ slot in October.

Keep 25th October 2025 free for a day of interesting, inspiring, and thought provoking talks interspersed with entertainment and fellowship.  In the evening we’ll get together for a friendly meal, more entertainment (where you’ll be reliving your youth by dancing to 60, 70s and 80s music) and even more fellowship.  And as a special gift, I’m giving you an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning (the time changes from BST to GMT).

Where are we going?  To the Glen Pavilion: a wonderful Art Deco style building, sitting within Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline.

The Theme is: “Having Fun – By Working together”.
So far, the three main speakers we’ve lined up are:

Former First Minister of Scotland, Lord Jack McConnell will tell us about the Malawi Partnership and the charity work it does.

CEO of Cycling Without Age Scotland, Christine Bell will tell us about her journey to getting the charity established in Scotland, and the partnerships forged with Rotary Clubs on the way.

Immediate past DG of Scotland South, Narek Bido will give us his personal story about his mission to help family members in Syria.

In addition, we want to hear from you, rotary clubs across Scotland, and the projects that are achieving great things by partnering with other clubs and organisations both locally and across the world.  Get in touch with DG Graham if you have an inspiring project you would like considered for a slot at the conference.

But More:  For a bit of fun, and maybe some friendly competition, there will be a Mini-Gavel on the evening before the conference (Friday 24th).  Watch for more details as plans come together.

And Even More:  This conference is open to the public.  Of course, partners of Rotarians are welcomed at all the events, but in addition if you have friends and acquaintances who are interested in what we do please invite them to register as well.  The more the merrier.

Registration will be open soon.  Watch out for an invitation though Eventbrite.
