The original object of the Trust was to provide educational and other relevant supplies to enable teachers and their pupils in schools in Zambia and in sub-Saharan Africa to realise their respective ambitions. Last year the Charity Commissioners agreed that the Tru
st could operate World Wide.
The various Rotary International Presidents have all listed Literacy as one of their main objectives with the hope that each Club would complete one literacy project each year and this District decided some years ago to achieve this, if possible, by supporting the Literacy in a Box Trust.
