Rotary Dentaid Box

Latest update on the Rotary Dentaid Box:-

Some very positive ideas and feedback have been received following the launch of the Rotary Dentaid Box at the Eastbourne District Conference.  A leaflet has been produced (see attached) and the following key points will be used in helping to promote interest to generate funding:-
 
There are two main key areas of use for the Rotary Dentaid Box.
Visiting dentists
Locally trained dental auxiliaries working with a main dental hospital
 
Funding and owning a Rotary Dentaid Box
A partnership involving four key players:-
Dentaid identifying/auditing potential projects
UK Rotary Club/Clubs working with the their
Local Dental Surgeries.
Nearest in-country Rotary Club; linked in to help provide any in-country co-ordination that might be required.  
 
Funding Strategy:-
Projects will be identified/ vetted  by Dentaid.
Individual Rotary Clubs can take on a project in association with their local dental practice/ practices to raise funds to purchase a portable dental surgery (Rotary Dentaid Box).
Once a project is underway, contact will be made with the nearest Rotary Club in the country to see if they can act as a focal point for support and possibly look after the box when it is not in use.  Dentaid would be able to ensure that top-up supplies of consumables could be provided as required.
