Open to local primary school pupils including girls.
Venue was Canongate School playing fields.
Great numbers of parents were at Canongate Primary on Monday evening, 10th June, to see 10 teams of boys and girls compete in 7-a-side football. This annual event was organised for the Rotary Club of St Andrews by member Dennis Matthews and it was obvious the children were enjoying the occasion. They battled hard in the sunshine to come through the round-robin matches to the knock-outs. The final was a superb match between Canongate and Anstruther. It had to be settled by a penalty shoot-out which Anstruther won by a narrow margin for the second year in a row.
