From early beginnings in performances put on by Elgin Rotary, Glen Moray Male Voice Choir was founded in September 2013 by musical director Jane Ferguson.  Angus Burnie, a baritone is Chairman and his wife Isobel is the choir accompanist.  Now 3 years on, there are approximately 60 members in the choir and their concerts attract large audiences.  They have welcomed guest choirs, East Fife Ladies Choir and the famous Fron (Voices of the Valley) Choir from Wales to share the stage with them.  Both concerts were sellout performances.  Several Charities have also received donations from the choir after each concert.  This is a community group for men which has been very successful and hopefully will continue to grow.  New members are always welcome.

The choir is looking forward to performing at the Rotary Conference in October.

Also entertaining us on the Friday evening will be some local talent who recently took part in

" A Night with the Musicals"

Rotaract Moray had the pleasure in organising the community concert. Working alongside local musicians, dancers and theatrical groups they put on a concert and performed it to over three hundred audience members.  The aim of the concert was to provide an activity for local vulnerable and elderly groups and charities to come along and enjoy an afternoon away from their usual surroundings; allocating 118 tickets amongst the groups. Funds of over £2000 were raised and dispersed between Local Rotaract charities.

The club are delighted to be able to offer a portion of the money towards start-up costs of a Local Rotaract kids group now set up at one of Elgin's Primary Schools.
