Conference Programme

Inspiring Success 2018

details at 14th October 2018. Updates will be made regularly as other speakers confirm their attendance.

Friday

Morning

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a morning stroll around St Helier, explore the shops and during this time take a moment to Check In at Conference Registration and collect your Conference Pack.  For your convenience, we expect to facilitate Conference Check In at your own hotel (or at least one near to yours) during the morning of Friday 12th.  Exact timings will be given to all nearer the time.  Equally for those who are staying elsewhere, Check In will be available at the conference venue, Fort Regent, just prior to the plenary sessions.

Then do enjoy a lunch and return to your hotel in time to join your transfer coach up to Fort Regent.  As you disembark, do take a moment to look back over the expanse of the town and port of St Helier, with Elizabeth castle, Noirmont point and St Aubin in the background.

Then it is time to go back to the 19th century and enter Fort Regent via the 20 metre long tunnel through its western rampart.

There you will be greeted by the Debbie Dunford and her Check In/Registration team as well as John Nicholls and the House of Friendship team.  Renew old friendships and make new, whilst surveying the scene of “Inspire Success Jersey 2018” which is going to keep you enthralled for the next three days.

Afternoon

Having had a lunch to fortify yourself please arrive promptly for the opening sessions of conference. We have a fascinating array of speakers to entertain you and their batting order will be published both on this site nearer the time and in the conference programme given to all delegates when they collect their Conference Pack.  The speakers committed to attend at this time can all be viewed by clicking on the thumbnails to the right of this page, (note on a mobile phone they may be below this display so please scroll down to them).

Evening

After a Vin d’Honneur as the guests of the ConnĂ©table of St Helier, join us at the Pomme d’Or Hotel for a Gala Dinner.

Saturday

Morning and Afternoon

In addition to our wide variety of speakers there are some very special events today.

A PeaceJam Slam will be running alongside our District Conference. Both programmes have been dovetailed to ensure you have the opportunity to meet and speak with the 100 or more young people taking part in the Slam.

Oh! I almost forgot there is time this afternoon to indulge in a little shopping too!

Evening

After all that excitement and a well-earned rest over dinner in your hotel or at one of Jersey's many excellent restaurants, the AeroSPARX glider team have flown in to entertain you with a night time aerial firework display. It has to be seen to be believed.  That Is not the end either. Now it is time to dance the night away at our Hangar Ball set in the 1940s after Jersey’s Liberation from Occupation in WW2.

Sunday

Morning

Up bright and early today to make sure we do not miss hearing about some incredible Jersey projects and the last of our brilliant speakers.

Afternoon

Now it is time to clear the head. Breathe in some fresh seaside air and take part in a Community Project as requested by you, the Rotarians of District 1110.  Enjoy a walk along St Aubin’s Bay and Clean the Beach as you go.
