Sunday afternoon Walk and Beach Clean
A stroll along St Aubin's Bay
Fresh sea air, sandy beach, pleasant stroll, views of Elizabeth Castle (once the official residence of Sir Walter Raleigh when he was Governor of Jersey), and all whilst carrying out a valuable community service. Sounds too good to be true?
No, it isn't. This is our offering after the conference has finished and before your evening meal on Sunday 14th October.
And to seal the deal there is the opportunity for you to get yourself a bacon butty at one of the many cafes along St Aubin’s Beach.
Then do join DG Allan Smith and PDG Mike Smith on this community service project which will start from La Fregate Café (shaped like an upturned boat – see photograph) opposite the Grand Hotel at 15:00 on Sunday 14th October.
It will last no more than a couple of hours and don’t worry the tide is out at the time.
Cost: £5 (excluding the bacon butty). Note all proceeds go to End Polio Now
Rotary de la Manche will provide all with the necessary beach cleaning kit. Note sturdy footwear would be advisable.
