Young Artist 2024 - 2025
The theme for the 2024-25 competition is ‘Wonderful Water’.
The competition aims to encourage young people to:
The competition is open to all schools and college communities and those who are home educated, along with any other young peoples’ community organisations, for example, community RotaKids, community Interact, Scout Groups, Girl Guides.
There are three age groups:
Entrants must not be over the upper age parameter for each group on 31 August 2024.
The task is to produce one finished 2-dimensional, up to a maximum size of A2, unframed, piece of artwork based upon the theme, ‘Wonderful Water’
We welcome artwork in any medium. For example, pen and ink, paint, collage, printmaking or digital formats.
To accompany the submission, each entrant must provide a brief sentence describing the relationship of the artwork to the theme.
Up to three entries per club may be submitted to District, one in each age category. The winners in each age group in the District will be submitted for consideration at the national final.
The deadline for clubs to submit their entries to District is 17th March 2025.

more The Primary Schools Quiz is a competition between primary schools throughout the North and East of Scotland. It is held anually. Normally over 500 schools compete through a series of heats. 16 schools compete in the final.
