Shoeboxes 2020

Shoebox Collection and Sorting at La Garenne Business Park (we are open 10am to 7pm Saturday and weekdays; and 10am to 1pm Sunday)

Each year we collect, sort and send well over 4000 shoeboxes to children in need across Eastern Europe. This year we are anticipating more need than ever as Covid-19 has impacted incomes across Europe.

We have been given the go ahead to collect shoeboxes as usual this year, but we know the UK collections could be down, also because of Covid.

People of Guernsey are incredibly generous. so we hope we can collect even more than usual this year.

Rotary Guernesiais 'top up' some of the boxes as well as make up as many as possible using donations. Local businesses might wish to donate school stationary (pencils, paper, rubbers, sharpeners, protractors, rulers ...); toys (balls, soft toys, cars, dolls ...); hygiene materials (soap, toothbrushes, facecloths, toothpaste, hairbrushes, washable sanitary towels ...), clothes (hats, socks, underwear, scarves); fun items such as jewelry; or wrapping paper. (Regrets no liquids, food or anything requiring battery power).

Every year we have very useful donations of toothpaste (local dentists) and tennis balls (Tennis Club), pens and pencils, for example, which really helps.

Please get in touch if you can help.
