Sun, Apr 28th 2024 at 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

Tour for classic and interesting cars of any age. The tour is sponsored by a number of organisations, and together with the contributions received from the entrants we raised over £6.5k in 2023.

I am attaching Information and a Booking Form for our 2024 Classic Car Tour, which is being held on Sunday 28th April 2024.

This entry will be open to all on the 1st January 2024.

Entries will be strictly limited to 60 cars. Advance notice is being sent out to those who took part in our 2023 tour, and  any places not filled by 1st January 2024 will be opened up to others.

Next year’s tour will again be to the Scottish Borders. The route is 140 miles long, stopping for coffee and lunch at The Schloss Roxburgh Hotel, Kelso, and finishing at The Marine Hotel, North Berwick.

It becomes more and more difficult to find venues that can park 60 cars and feed 120 people quickly, but The Marine treated us well in 2023 and we are confident that The Roxburgh will do likewise.

It is a delightful venue, set in open parkland beside a prestigious golf course.

Both venues have generously donated prizes of dinner, bed and breakfast.

But I’m afraid prices have risen, as you would expect, and with regret we have had to increase the charge for catering to £40 per head.

I realise this is a significant increase, but even at that level the actual cost of catering will be subsidised by our sponsors.

And whilst on the subject of increases,  since the first tour in 2017 the suggested minimum donation has remained at £50, so this year we are increasing the suggested minimum donation to £60.

Of course, many drivers donate more than that, for which we are very grateful.

As always your support is greatly appreciated and I hope we will be able to welcome you back in 2024, notwithstanding the increased costs which I am sure you will understand are inevitable in this day and age.
