Rotary Foundation Grants

District Grants

District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities that address needs in the local community and in communities abroad in Rotary’s Areas of Focus. Projects should include Rotarian involvement. 

These grants are allocated to clubs by the District Grants committee.

District Grants 2024-25

An Information Pack and related forms for clubs wishing to apply for District Grants next Rotary year will be available soon. Note that grant applications for next year must be received by the end of the current year. The closing date will be anounced later.

Global Grants

Myra’s Wells’, Burkino Faso. 

The Rotary Club of North Berwick led this project by drilling wells to provide life-saving water in Burkina Faso, one of the poorest countries in West Africa.

Global Grants, allocated by The Rotary Foundation, support large-scale projects linking Rotary Clubs and Districts in different countries. The activities must meet community needs and have sustainable and measurable outcomes in Rotary’s Areas of Focus. Projects must include direct involvement by Rotarians.

Global Grants may support:

• Humanitarian projects
• Scholarships – for graduate level study overseas
• Vocational Training Teams - groups of professionals travel abroad to teach others in their field or to learn more themselves.
