Middlesbrough Erimus supporting Tanzania

Middlesbrough Erimus has a longstanding relationship with the Meserani School in Tanzania

The current situation is that the school buildings in Meserani in Tanzania have been completed, (eight classrooms, three science laboratories, an ICT classroom, a library, two pupil toilet blocks and an administration block.) The two dormitories that were funded by The Meserani Project have also been completed. The government has instructed that the school has to open to pupils at some stage in the current year, and the only hurdle to overcome now is the funding and building of the teachers' houses.

The bunk beds being paid for in January - Diane Swan is the Treasurer of The Meserani Project (and a member of Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary), and she is paying the local engineer who was building the beds for us, and the other man in the picture is Loth Naparana, the Councillor for the Meserani ward in Tanzania.

The bunk beds completed, and being stored inside the dormitory bedrooms. They were funded by Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary using a District Grant in the two dormitories that have been funded by The Meserani Project (https://meseraniproject.co.uk/)
