District Governors Gail and Duncan and District Governor Elect Narek would like to accord their sincere thanks to all those who attended the splendid dinner on 10th June to celebrate both the Handover to the New District 1320 and the forthcoming Presidency of RI being undertaken by Gordon McInally.
One hundred and seventy Rotarians from right across Districts 1020 and 1230 came together to enjoy the evening at the Alona Hotel in Strathclyde Park and were joined by both the current and incoming International Directors. The evening comprised a drinks reception followed by dinner and the audience was treated to musical entertainment and speeches from a variety of speakers who paid tribute to Gordon and his service to Rotary over 40 years.
This was followed by the Handover by DG’s Gail and Duncan to incoming Governor Narek who introduced his team for the coming year and gave a typically inspirational address.
A special thanks to Rotarian Lorna Dick and her team who worked so diligently over the past few months to ensure the evening was a huge success. Our District photographer, Peter Croan, was on hand as always, to capture the event and photographs can be viewed by clicking HERE
