INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE THE FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED

We decided in the club that we want to support local people (and their carers) living with mental health issues and dementia. We  will direct our funding to a number of groups which operate in the area covered by the Gryffe Valley Rotary club and that are interested in using any funds that we can donate for specific events or activities that they cannot otherwise afford. The grups under consideration include Houston Hello (which has wide attendance from the Gryffe Valley area), The Haven and Teen Challenge Strathclyde (both based near Kilmacolm); Crisis Erskine; a Bridge of Weir Dementia group supported by Dr Bennie; Parklea Nursery; Kilmacolm St Fillan’s Lunchtime events, and Young Carers with mental health issues.

We have discussions planned with these groups and once we understand what our budget will be we will work out a plan of projects with the selected groups.

All of the funds raised will be spent in this way.
