The Rotary Club of  Ironbridge is collecting unused bicycles, to be re-furbished by the prison service, for use by youngsters in Africa who walk daily up to ten miles each way to school.

If you know of a 24" or 26" wheel bicycle in reasonable condition
we would be grateful if you would pass it on to us for this worthwhile cause

 

 


 

 IRONBRIDGE DONATE £1500 TO MIDLAND AIR AMBULANCE
Andy Bowden, a Midland Air Ambulance pilot based at RAF Cosford is photgraphed receiving a donation of £1,500 for the Midland Air Ambulance from Steve Evans, President of the Rotary Club of Ironbridge.The donation had been made possible as a result of the Rotary Club raising some £7197 during January for contribution to local and international charities.

Other donations have included £1000 to Telford and Wrekin Young Carers, £300 to Village Water, £300 to JL Edwards Trust and £300 to the Abraham Darby Academy Band.

 

 The Rotary Club of Ironbridge is a Registered Charity (Reg. No. 1047276) and was Chartered as a Rotary Club in 1955. Today the Club is firmly established with a mixed membership of just under 40 men and women enjoying a blend of humour, fellowship and caring - and a commitment to the Rotary ideal of "Service above Self". Copies of a brochure describing the Club and its history, produced at the time of its Golden Jubilee in 2005, are available by e-mailing David Owen(davidfowen@btinternet.com) who is also happy to try to answer any questions you may have about the Club
