About Us

Skipton is in North Yorkshire close to its' border with Lancashire and is known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'.  A lovely little market town famous for its' castle & canal and situated on the fringe of The Yorkshire Dales National Park.  There are many well-known places of interest close by and putting this whole package together the area attracts many thousands of visitors each year and the tourist market continues to grow.

The Rotary Club of Skipton was chartered 19th March 1930 and has a membership of around 50 men & women.  We are involved with community and environmental projects around 'Craven' and give grants to local charities, clubs and young people.  We welcome visiting Rotarians and guests wishing to take a look at what we do, perhaps with a view to membership.  If you are interested in coming to one of our meetings please contact the secretary or alternatively a member who is known to you.
