Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Lanark
CLUB DUTIES NOW UPDATED TO 15th September 2010.
The Royal Burgh of Lanark (a status granted in 1140) sits on high ground at the south end of the Clyde Valley. It is an historic town full of buildings dating back to 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and has its roots firmly in agriculture. However, it also looks forward being the main shopping for a large catchment and provides a vibrant nightlife with many restaurants and bars. The population in 2001 was 8253 although a strong housing market is now adding to that figure.
Visiting Rotarians and their partners will be made very welcome at our meetings.
