ERASMUS DARWIN

On Monday, 24 February, a joint meeting of Burton, Bretby and Swadlincote Rotary Clubs was held at Branston to celebrate Rotary Week. The speaker for the evening was Canon Tony Barnard who gave a talk on the life of Erasmus Darwin, the physician, poet, free-thinker, scientist and inventor, and the grandfather of the famous naturalist, Charles Darwin.
