Rotarians, family and friends gathered on our usual Tuesday meeting night to listen to Natalie Whitby-Lear describing the trials, challenges and success of completing the the 3 Peaks Challenge (ascending the three highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland within 24 hours). She also gave a very moving and entertaining talk on the work and background of the local charity 'MAD' (Mums and Dads) with which she works.
Also on the night President Helen Ricketts presented the local 'Nurse of the Year' Team winners of our clubs award with their formal trophy.
It was with great sadness that the club said farewell to Pat and Kieth Preedy who have now moved out of the area. President Helen presented them with a club banner, signed by all members of the club. They have set a high example of Rotarian values in all they have done and achieved a great deal for our club and the local community. We wish them good health and every success for the future.
