Kevin Oliphant, a civil engineer from Sunderland, has been responsible for a number of projects in and around Aberdeen, including upgrading the runway surfaces at Dyce Airport, installing the lights on the A90 between Aberdeen and Portlethen and others.
Kevin addressed the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Balgownie on the subject of green energy, having been involved in projects in connection with various types of power stations. He outlined clear options in respect of all forms of electricity generation; nuclear, fossil-fuel-fired, wind farms, geothermal, solar and others.
Having delivered a readily-understandable set of medium-technology specifications, Kevin went on to advise about ways for individuals to conserve energy, closing with a concise solution to the issue;
