Visit to Wrickton Water Mill and Charlcotte Iron Furnace, near Burwarton, WV16 6RS, followed by meal at The Boyne Arms, Burwarton. Visit starts at 6.30pm, with meal at 8.00pm

Charlcotte was a charcoal fired blast furnace built c1700 and blown out c1780. Annual cast iron production was 200-600 tons per annum with a highest of 763 tons in 1749-50. It was water powered with a wheel to drive the bellows.
