Barge Day Trips on the Kennet & Avon Canal

The Swindon Epilepsy Support Group in partnership with the Swindon Phoenix Rotary Club have hired a Specialist Modified Barge from the Bruce Trust on the Kennet and Avon Canal to give day trips to children and adults who have various disabilities

Other trained Captains are Paul Parfrey, Steve Coleman, Mike Slipper and Peter Newson

The day trips travel each day from Great Bedwyn to Hungerford, then Hungerford to Newbury, then Newbury to Woolhampton, and then do the return legs back to Great Bedwyn over a period of 7 days. The groups include, Swindon Down Syndrome, Swindon Young Carers, Crowdys Hill School, the Epilepsy Support Group and others.....
