The weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Kirkcaldy was held on October 21st at the Dean Park Hotel. President Brian Munro welcomed 22 members of the club, two visiting Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Leven, the President of the Huntly club and District Governor Keith Hopkins with his wife Mary.
The President reported on the upcoming visit to Tanzania to visit the clubs projects there which involve blind and partially sighted people, albino children and the Upendo Leprosy home. Past President Iain Gow spoke about a meeting to be held in November where potential new members would be invited.
District Governor Keith Hopkins addressed the Club and spoke from the heart about Rotary going forward. He talked of his 33 years in Rotary and his enjoyment of all aspects of the organisation throughout that time. Rotary worldwide has 1.2 million members all working for the same aims.
