October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and as you will be aware, President Geoff is supporting Breast Cancer Now (Swindon & North Wilts Group) as one of his chosen charities.
In recognition of BCAM, President Geoff is dedicating the Rotary Meeting on Wednesday 21st October as a partners and guest's evening which will be a PINK themed evening. Wear something PINK.
Barbara is our Host that evening and the guest speaker will be Valerie Sanders, who has had breast cancer and survived and following reconstructive surgery wants to share her story for the benefit and awareness of others.
Valerie is well educated in the effects and statistics of Breast Cancer and in particular wants to spread awareness, especially with the younger community of this dreadful medical illness who it is affecting more these days.
