Social at the College

Thu, Mar 24th 2016 at 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Where did that weekend go?  It was only when I started working today I realised it was gone.

Last Thursday saw us enjoying an excellent meal of "comfort food" in the form of fish and chips at the college.  I have to say it looked delicious but then again so was the veggie chow mein.  Following this feast we enjoyed an excellent game of Dingbats/Catchphrase organised by Richard.  A landslide victory was claimed my team Evans/Cope/Wilson - if only we did that well at the quiz!

Talking of quizzes 12 of our members had attended the "pointless" rotaract quiz the previous night.  Turned out it was not pointless but a general quiz and they put up the usual showing that we do without "Team Booth".

Fantastic news from Michelle - some time ago she applied to her company for a charity donation for RDA and they have come through with a promise of £500 - which is an excellent boost for our chosen charity.

On Thursday 7th April we have our 'Chelmsford City Ghost Walk', meet at 6.30 at the stone bridge (the one between Quadrant and Monsoon) for an hour and a half of walking and then we are heading to Zizzi for a meal, I'm sure we will check numbers beforehand.  There is a cost for the walk is 4 pounds a head, this will cover the fee and any excess can go in the charity pot.

Fines were extracted by Sue Wilson and the raffle was won by..............

Well there was no "raffle" as DC hadn't had time to bring the bag, the prize was saved by an easter egg donation from Mr Shead (such a gent!) and we went for a tense game of "heads and tails"

Which came down to 2 people, Sue Wilson and Roger Scothern

Obviously Sue Wilson won.

This week sees us at the R&C for a business meeting - you should by now have put all of your orders in to Jane Johnson.  Please remember foodbank donations.
