Area Quiz

The quiz team, consisting of Anthony Pugh, John Clarke and Tom Carnduff along with a dozen loyal supporters,  made their way to the Castle Hotel in Neath for the first round of the area quiz. Quiz master (should it be mistress?) Liz Davies had put together 10 rounds of questions covering topics such as geography, literature, history, sport, music and saints. We had expected Gareth Rees to be a team member, but he admitted that he had helped Liz with the questions, so shouldn’t take part. Some people are just too honest for their own good! Unfortunately, the Neath team  did very well in the first 3 or 4 rounds compared to our team and in spite of doing much better in the remaining rounds, we were beaten fair and square with a final score of 47 points to Llantwit Major and a magnificent 59 points to Neath. The Neath team goes on to play Cowbridge.
