Staines Rotary welcomes new member

Our February 9th meeting saw the welcome arrival of a new lady member of our club. President Shirdi formally inducted Staines based Project Manager Ekaterina Moteva into membership.

The Staines club has a long tradition of attracting new lady members. In 1989 it was the first Rotary club in the local District to vote to invite ladies to join and since then has three times elected a Lady President.
Multilingual Ekaterina who was born in Bulgaria, holds a Masters degree in Management and a Bachelors degree in Education, brings to the club a wealth of experience in marketing and publicity. She enjoys learning new things and among a long a long list of interests and hobbies, she enjoys helping people and especially working with our youth helping them to realise their potential. Staines Rotary knew they had a promising member as right from attending her first meeting she was bubbling with ideas and has played a major part in producing some of the Club’s advertising material including its new newsletter.
Staines Rotary is a part of the worldwide service organisation Rotary International, who carry out humanitarian work in and around our communities.
