CROYDON NEIGHBOUR CARE ASSOCIATION
Presdident's Charity for 2018-2019
The first speaker for the new Rotary year (2018-19) on 03 July 2018 was Sue McVicker who heads up the Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association (CNCA).
President Loraine Davis has chosen to support the CNCA Befriending Service during her Presidential Year. The Befriending Service offers support to both elderly carers and families caring for an elderly relative, and to elderly, frail people living alone, many of whom have no next of kin or support networks. The service also includes home visits to the most vulnerable, with many receiving weekly calls, and a texting service to relatives.
CNCA is an umbrella charity, working to meet the needs of isolated, vulnerable and frail people within the borough by supporting local neighbourhood care associations (its member groups) and by providing services and advice to adults within Croydon.
Further information may be found on their website -www.cnca.org.uk. or through Facebook and Twitter.
