St Cuthberts Garden Village

Over fifty Rotarians and friends attend presentation by Carlisle City Council

St Cuthberts Garden Village

Rotarians hear about St Cuthberts Garden Village in Carlisle

Approximately fifty Rotarians and friends attended an evening at Skitby House to listen to Carlisle City Council Planning Staff speak about the St Cuthbert’s Garden Village.  The open evening on Wednesday 6th March 2019 was hosted by members of Brampton & Longtown Rotary Club and they were joined by Rotarians from Annan, Langholm, Carlisle and Wigton plus friends.

The presentation covered the background to the Garden Village Project, the Master Planning process and future aspirations.  The team emphasised the role of communities in the planning, development and ultimately in influencing the way in which people work, live and play in the new environment.

Rotary is all about Community and we look forward to working closely with the planning team as the project is taken forward in the coming years.
