I am currently the chairperson for Dumfries & Galloway Hard of Hearing Group. I joined the Board of Trustees nearly two years ago after having served on the Action on Hearing Loss national advisory committee for a period of three years.
Up until I retired five years ago I had worked for around 40 years in the voluntary / charity sector.
This included 30 years with Age Scotland and 5 years with a national (UK) cancer charity as Director of Community Services.
I first experienced hearing loss in my mid thirties so have a real interest in all issues around hearing loss. I am therefore delighted to be involved with DGHoHG where hopefully I can make a difference.
