Crown Green Bowling

Furness go through to the next round

Each year all of the Rotary clubs in Lancashire and Cumbria are invited to take part in a variety of sporting events and pastimes. Furness recently played the Furness Peninsula Club in the first round of the District Crown Green Bowling competition.

Three singles and two doubles games were played with Furness coming out on top. In the next round they will face either Barrow or Ulverston.

These events provide an opportunity for light-hearted competition and fellowship between clubs. After events on the green it was back to the bowls hut for hot drinks and sarnies.

Rotary would like to thank Hawcoat Park Bowling Club for the use of their facilities.
