District Handover

Land Rover is Albania bound

A Land Rover fire appliance generously donated to D.1290 last September by Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service has now been polished, checked and loaded with valuable fire and rescue equipment ahead of its 2000 mile journey to Puke in northwest Albania. Read more.

Update. Peter Old and Peter Robinson (Bodmin) were able to deliver the appliance to the community of Pukes on Tuesday 6th July and to train the town’s fire fighters how to use it effectively. Our team should be home on Thursday. Job done !!

GSE Teams Reunited

The D1290 and D4370 GSE Teams - reunited after 6 weeks.

The Rotarians of District 1290 would like to thank the Venezuelan Group Study Exchange Team for being such wonderful guests and ambassadors of their country. They have now completed their visit to our District ad we wish then well. Our own GSE team returned earlier this month. Presentation dates announced.
