Duck Race Through Swanage

We held a sponsored duck race through (and underneath) Swanage on Bank Holiday Monday in aid of PolioPlus


Ed Stewart was kind enough to host our race and act as the starter for this popular event.

Proceeds were given to the Rotary PolioPlus campaign which is inching closer to eradicating polio from the 4 remaining countries in the world where it is endemic. The money raised will be doubled by the Gates Foundation and used to run immunisation days to try to ensure children are protected.

Thanks to everyone who sponsored a duck in our race. All 2000 tickets were sold and our intrepid ducks made the journey on the Swanbrook from outside the Conservative Club to the Mowlem in record time (thanks to the local fire brigade for their help!)
