Over twenty members of Thorpe Bay Rotary and their friends enjoyed meeting for a meal and chat at the Meadowlark Pub in Shoebury. One new member Susan Webster said: I joined the club shortly before Lockdown so I have been particularly pleased to meet up.

2021 Foulness Bike Ride

On the 12th September 2021 over 1000 people enjoyed the wonderful island of Foulness by being part of Thorpe Bay Rotary's annual Bike Ride.

Wheelchairs for Uganda, South Africa & Lesotho

We had identified a need for wheelchairs, and were interested in building up Rotary links. This was difficult because of the political situation. From a discussion with the Director of the Wheelchair Foundation while in Uganda, it took 6 years to deliver

Polio Bear

After being lockdown for 18 months our Polio Bear has started to travel again. Every time a new place is visited, we donate £25 to End Polio Now

In2005/6 Thorpe Bay Rotary helped to fund a new Health Post in the village of Halji.
