Hove Rotary meets weekly, each Tuesday lunchtime, for between 90 minutes and 2 hours, with a meal, usually followed by a presentation by a guest speaker on topics of interest to our focus on good causes. Occasionally one of our members will be given the opportunity to tell us about their life, either as a talk or in the form of an informal interview. Regular attendance is encouraged, to foster acquaintance between members and keep up to date with on-going activities and the evolving needs of the Hove community. Members participate in activities within the Club, or within various groupings of Clubs, in intra-Club groups or individually, according to personal inclinations, skills and availability.
Meetings are friendly, offering friendship and fun, at the same time as deciding and planning future activities. There is nothing secret about Rotary and very little ritual, making it comfortable for any Rotarian, without question, to visit and be warmly welcomed at any other Club – anywhere in the world!
Membership of the Rotary Club of Hove is thus open to both men and women, of any age, working, not working, or retired, from any business or professional background. Our Club aims to be as mixed as possible, seeking those who wish to give back something to Society, in the company of like-minded others.
