DetailsRotarians have put Service Above Self for more than a century. Through the Avenue of Community Service, Hounslow Rotarians work with others to give back to the place we live or work in.
DetailsIn November 1929, a group of local businessmen and prominent residents founded Hounslow Rotary Club to serve their local community and the wider world.
Over more than 90 years Hounslow Rotarians have donated professional expertise and raised funds for donation to a wide variety of local and national groups and causes.
In the 1930s, for example, we were instrumental in founding a “Council of Social Services” in the borough.
In the 1940s we began to give careers advice to young people.
In the 1950s we were funding initiatives for the elderly, for local schools and apprentices and for hospitals and health centres.
In the 1960s we were working with the Council, with the Chamber of Commerce and with local employers to improve the economic, welfare and social life of Hounslow people.
We also undertook many international projects.
Hounslow Rotary Club has responded to the current pandemic crisis and, whilst continuing to support local projects, is supporting local foodbanks, the community kitchen and staff at West Middlesex Hospital. We also responded to the Indian Covid crisis.
We meet most Monday evenings. If you would like to join our meeting (overseas Rotarians particularly welcome) or if you need the help of Hounslow Rotary then please contact us by email through this website.
