Donations to Food Banks
Since March 23rd we have been living in unprecedented times due to the presence of the killer disease Covid-19 caused by Coronavirus. It has caused grief and great hardship in our area in a number of ways. Club members agreed that one of the ways which our Rotary Club could offer much needed practical help was by making a substantial contribution to local food banks. A donation of £700 was given to the Morecambe foodbank and in addition a donation of £100 was made to each of the foodbanks in Kirkby Lonsdale, Ingleton and Bentham. Let us hope that a vaccine will soon be available to help the world cope with the disease.
